I'll dominate 'serious combatant' Jake Paul - Anthony Joshua
Anthony Joshua is set to fight the American YouTuber in an eight round fight which will be streamed live on the streaming platform.
British boxer Anthony Joshua said he will "dominate completely" the American and "defeat" his opponent as the two fighters met personally to publicize next month's heavyweight fight.
Former twice unified title holder Joshua battles YouTuber-turned-boxer Jake Paul - in what is, by the numbers, a huge disparity - at Miami's Kaseya Center on 19 December.
Boxer's Mindset
"I will injure his face and break his body up. My goal is to show my superiority," the British boxer, 35, stated.
"I'll stamp all over him. That's a fighter's mentality.
"I'm going to genuinely try to hurt him. That's my intention."
Respectful Exchange
In spite of such comments, a relaxed Joshua and internet personality Paul - normally famous for his showmanship - exchanged pleasantries and maintained decorum with each other.
Paul rather targeted former Joshua's rival the Cameroonian fighter and labeled him "a joke" after Ngannou turned down a match opportunity.
Taking Aim at Fury
Joshua, in the meantime, took aim at UK rival Tyson Fury - and rejected a £1m bet 'The Gypsy King' states he will put on a Paul win.
"[Paul] is better than Tyson Fury - he showed up," Joshua commented.
"I respect him for that."
Legitimate Opponent
Despite saying he intends to hurt Jake Paul, Anthony Joshua declined to comment unfavorably about his opponent's pugilistic talent.
"Jake Paul is a serious fighter," he said.
Paul's History
Jake Paul - who originally gained popularity on the television network - has primarily fought MMA fighters or faded names since becoming pro.
He lost to Briton Tommy Fury in last year.
Financial Attraction
However, the novice remains one of boxing's biggest money-making draws, frequently receiving massive financial rewards.
Forecast and Confidence
The 28-year-old forecast a KO victory in the fourth or fifth round and asserted he would derail the highly-expected match between Joshua and Fury, which is allegedly under discussion for two years from now.
"It's going to be my match with Fury next year," Jake Paul said.
Size Difference
As Joshua and Paul participated in the customary confrontation, with their physical disparity clearly visible, it highlighted just how improbable this whole event is - and how remarkable it is that the match is really proceeding.
